“WI-SET-WI-SO” is derived from the Thai word Wiset, meaning “royal chef.”

In the past, chefs who served within the royal palace were known as Wiset. The name also incorporates Wiso, meaning “beautiful” or “elegant.”
Together, the name represents Thai cuisine that is prepared with meticulous care and refined beauty. Each dish is thoughtfully composed into a complete dining experience rich in flavor and shaped by the historical journey of Thai cuisine, presented through the distinctive style and identity of Chef Poom.

Wiset Wiso is a Thai restaurant dedicated to cuisine rooted in classical Thai culinary texts and long-established recipes passed down through generations. The dishes are inspired by Chef Poom’s ancestral heritage as royal chefs (Wiset) within his family and by royal chefs from various palaces in the past.
